Both advertise implants. Both quote in dollars. The gap between them is larger than the gap between any two countries in this series, so this guide is mostly about telling them apart.
The Price, and a Detail Most Guides Omit

Here is the part that rarely gets mentioned: border cities like Tijuana can cost up to 25% more than other regions of Mexico. Proximity to the United States is itself a premium, and you are paying it.
That is not an argument against Tijuana. For a straightforward case, an interior Mexican city is cheaper but requires a flight and an overnight stay, which eats the difference. It is an argument against believing you have found the cheapest possible price simply because you crossed a border.
Three Questions That Separate the Two Models
1. What is the accreditation, and can you verify it yourself? Not “are you accredited” — a logo on a website is not evidence. JCI publishes its accredited organisations, so the claim is checkable in a way that most credentials are not. Hospital Angeles Tijuana is JCI-accredited.
2. Which implant system do you use? Recognised systems — Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Osstem, MIS — are used worldwide, which means a dentist anywhere can service the work later. 3. Who handles complications, and where? A hospital has anaesthetics, imaging and a wider medical team on site. That matters little for a single routine implant and a great deal for full-mouth work, bone grafting or a patient on anticoagulants. Ask what happens if something goes wrong during the procedure, and what happens if something goes wrong six months later.
A provider that answers all three plainly is a fundamentally different proposition from one that leads with a package price and a shuttle from the border.

Tijuana makes the most sense for patients who:

- Are having full-mouth restoration, grafting, or dental work complicated by a medical condition, where a hospital setting earns its price
- Want an accreditation they can verify independently in a city where the range of providers is unusually wide
- Are combining dental with bariatric or cosmetic work, which this hospital handles under one roof
It makes least sense for a patient flying from Europe. The saving against Turkey or Hungary does not exist, and the flight is far longer.
