Where It’s Close, and Where It Isn’t

Not close on price. Turkey wins, and at the lower end of its range the difference is large enough to cover flights several times over.

Not close on follow-up. A joint replacement is a long relationship: check-ups, physiotherapy, and occasionally revision surgery years later. From Western Europe, Spain is a two-to-three hour flight; Turkey is further, and for a patient who may need to return, that matters more than it looks at booking time.
